In the TV interview conducted by a Swedish journalist Donald Boström, Isaias says that everything in the world, including policies in Africa, Swedish political system, media and free speech at local and global levels, elections, …literally everything is controlled by special interests in Europ, Washington and by the CIA.  He even went to the extent of asking the journalist back when he drew comparisons between the state of media in Eritrea and that of North Korea. The journalist may have been a bit intimidated at that point as he was not fortunate enough to conduct his interview via satellite link like the AJezeera journalist who was able to ridicule Isaias some time ago… Isaias also says ‘there will never be elections in Eritrea’; ‘Dawit Issak will never ever be released from prison; he even ‘doesn’t care’ where he is.  Eritrea’s economic and political system is one of the best in the world, better than that in Sweden. When it comes to diplomatic relations with that country, he said, the idea doesn’t even cross his mind for seconds during the 365 days of the year. He went on to say, even at this time, Eritrea doesn’t need aid. Time and again Isaias referred to the Monarchies in Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Morocco as well as ‘10,000 prisoners in Israel’, to say: ‘if others are allowed to do bad things why not us?

  1. Flat wrong Isaias Afeworki about his comments on Eritrea’s economy as better than Sweden. I would like to take the topic out though.

The comments of Aboy sibhat and Interview of Isaias with Ethiopian review and Arbegnoch looks that the political fight is among the two politicians.

Fight seem it is out of barrel of gun which is good and it looks bringing positive change to our cultures. But he will be the winner at last is my question?

Eventhough in princviple we all believe that either of the nations should not interfere on the others internal political affairs the case however looks already ignited.

Who is going to win? put your predictions?

  4. I have left a reply on this publishing catagory, saying we eritreans haven’t got any advantage from our independence, after sacrifysing more lives, destruction of the economy and social well being, just after the continous propagation of EPLFand the diaspora for thirty years during the battle and for now the seventy years.officials of different Eritrean political parties and those who consider them selves as an intellectual eritrean should show their vission and understanding that how eritrea could stand on its own economically, socially and politically. Here specially the economic agenda is very sensitive. We Eritreans as eritreans do we believe heartly that eritrea can stand economically on its own? this is a basic question that should get an answer from our citizen politicians and acadamicians. in my opnion the officials of EPLF and most diasporas have made a mistake in raising ythe dark age question of independence. What would have been better and best for eritreans, confining them selves in a small and narrow less opportunistic place which is very un democratic, less economic or to live in wider economic ppportunistic area, where ther is and there will be scale of economic growth. Why we most eritreans always suffer our mind with the nonses idea of independence, what do we get in reality from it and what can we get from it in the future.Different Eritrean political parties and citizens should break out from the egg of independence ideology should ask and understand opprtunities beyond this .As time elapses our problem will become complex. At last i want to convey my message to my Eritean citizens that even the existing eritrean opposition political organizations Are not different from Isayases party in the sense that they donot bring any thing new to eritreans except the disease independence.
